The Allerair MCS Supreme air purifieir is meticulously designed for those who suffer from multiple chemical sensitivities. In particular, these units are assembled without any type of glue, silicone or bonding agent in order to avoid the diffusion of trace chemicals and odors.
The Allerair MCS Supreme comes with shielded power cord. This unit features organic cotton pre-filters, nylon wheels, a burnt-in motor, as well as a choice between carbon blends to provide the most chemically inert air purifier possible.
Purchase of a refundable carbon test kit recommended with all MCS models. We offer our MCS customers a completely refundable carbon test kit so that you can be sure that the activated carbon blend you get will not cause any adverse reactions.

- Larger carbon filters are available for heavy chemical, gas and odor control. The standard 15 lb carbon filter is 2.5 inchs thick. The D 24 lb carbon filter is 3.0 inches thick.
The D version of the 5000 MCS Supreme air purifier offers 9 more lbs. of activated carbon (and thus more chemical filtration efficiency), and uses a Micro-HEPA filter in the place of the medical-grade HEPA found in the 5000 MCS Supreme air purifier. If particles are less of a concern, this can be a good option for gad, odor and voc control.
The deeper carbon filter increase "Dwell Time", the length of time chemicals, gases and odors are in contact with the adsorbing carbon surface. Deeper carbon filters are more effective in adsorbing chemical, gas and odor molecules.
- A 10 watt Ultraviolet Lamp is available. Ultraviolet light is a proven technology used for sterilizing both air and water. It is widely used in air purifiers for the medical industry to neutralize airborne tuberculosis, cold and flu viruses, smallpox, anthrax, and other airborne diseases and bacteria. UV used in indoor air purifiers has also proven effective against airborne mold mycotoxins, animal dander, cat saliva, dust mites, and pollen.

 What does MCS stand for? Multiple Chemicals Sensitivity Many chemicals that were synthesized after World War II (including, pesticides, synthetic fragrances, cleaning products, detergents, etc.) are mostly "petro-chemicals" (petroleum based) and are quite toxic to humans. There have been few on the majority of these chemicals to see how they affect humans - the industry just placed the chemicals in the environment with the assumption that they are "safe, till proven toxic", instead of the other way around. One of the biggest offenders is PERFUME and other scented products. The perfume industry is NOT REGULATED at all - they can put any number of chemicals in fragrance without revealing what those chemicals are - or how they affect humans. |
