The most popular Allerair air purifier. The 5000 can be ordered to fit almost any need you may have.The standard model has a full medical grade HEPA filter and a 2.5 inch deep 18 lb carbon filter. For heavy gas, odor or vocs the D model has 24 lbs of carbon in a 3 inch deep filter and the DX has 27lbs of carbon in a 3.5 inch deep filter. The 5000 models may be fitted with an Ultraviolet Lamp for mold and germ control. There are 5000 models for allergies, tobacco smoke control, chemical sensitivity, vocs, gases and odors, chemical sensitivity, artists, salons and printers. The HEPA filter is able to capture airborne particles as small as .3 microns with 99.97% efficiency. The 5000 cleans airborne particles in rooms up to 1,500 sq. ft. 9 ft ceiling at the fastest setting. |

 AllerAir air purifiers use a five-stage filtration process: Activated Carbon and HEPA Air Purifiers To be truly efficient, activated carbon filters need to provide enough dwell time for pollutants to be adsorbed. This means that larger, deeper bed carbon filters will adsorb more airborne pollutants. When used in combination, activated carbon filters and HEPA filters (high efficiency particle filters), offer the most comprehensive air purification available to treat airborne particles, chemicals, gases and odor. Air purifiers and air cleaners with this technology are especially suited for allergy relief, asthma prevention, multiple chemical sensitivity, cigar and cigarette odor removal, pet odor removal, newborn baby health and general home and office use.
