The Allerair 5000 D Exec air purifer is very good at removing particles, chemicals, gases and odors from the air you breath.
You may order your Allerair 5000 D Exec air purifier with additional features to meet your specific needs.
- Larger carbon filters are available for heavy chemical, gas and odor control. The standard 18 lb carbon filter is 2.5 inchs thick. The D 24 lb carbon filter is 3.0 inches thick. The DX 27 lb carbon filter is 3.5 inches thick. A Micro-HEPA filter will replace the full sized HEPA filter to accomodate the larger carbon filter.
Deeper carbon filters increase "Dwell Time", the length of time chemicals, gases and odors are in contact with the adsorbing carbon surface. Deeper carbon filters are more effective in adsorbing chemical, gas and odor molecules.
- A 10 watt Ultraviolet Lamp is available. Ultraviolet light is a proven technology used for sterilizing both air and water. It is widely used in air purifiers for the medical industry to neutralize airborne tuberculosis, cold and flu viruses, smallpox, anthrax, and other airborne diseases and bacteria. UV used in indoor air purifiers has also proven effective against airborne mold mycotoxins, animal dander, cat saliva, dust mites, and pollen.

This means that larger, deeper bed carbon filters will adsorb more airborne pollutants. When used in combination, activated carbon filters and HEPA filters (high efficiency particle filters), offer the most comprehensive air purification available to treat airborne particles, chemicals, gases and odor.
