The Allerair Airmedic Vocarb combines a cylindrical shape with 360° air intake to remove chemicals, particles, gases and odors on the very first pass. This means a consistent and fast flow of clean, pure, breathable air.
The AirMedic+ redesigned internal structure drastically increases the particle filtration effectiveness of the air purifier. Using a speciallysealed European motorized impeller, the AirMedic+ is the ultimate particle filtration device. This unit also employs a variable speed motor to allow the owner to have complete control of his or her indoor environment.

- Larger carbon filter for heavy chemical, gas and odor control. The standard 20 lb carbon filter is 2.0 inchs thick. The D 25 lb carbon filter is 3.0 inches thick. A Micro-HEPA filter will replace the full sized HEPA filter to accomodate the larger carbon filter.
Deeper carbon filters increase "Dwell Time", the length of time chemicals, gases and odors are in contact with the adsorbing carbon surface. Deeper carbon filters are more effective in adsorbing chemical, gas and odor molecules.

 What are VOC's ? VOC's are chemicals and odors released by many common household items: - Cleaning products - Upholstery - Personal care products - Treated fabric - Wood furniture - Dry-cleaning - Carpets Facts about VOCs - EPA studies have found that levels of about a 12 common organic pollutants are 2 to 5 times higher inside homes than outside, regardless of whether the homes were located in rural or highly industrial areas. - The EPA also notes that while people are using products containing VOCs, they can expose themselves and others to very high pollutant levels whcih persist in the air long after the activity is completed. Many VOCs are also known carcinogens.
