The Allerair 5000 DXS air purifier is specially designed for smoking environments. A unique tar-trapping pre-filter grabs larger particles and tar and extends the life of the HEPA filter. The Allerair 5000 DXS also features a micro-wrap filter to deal with small particles such as cigarette ash and a 3.5" extra-deep, 27 pound, carbon bed.

The deeper carbon bed increases dwell time, allowing more smoke chemicals, gases and odors to be absorbed. Tobacco smoke and odors are most effectivelly trapped when your air purifiers work on low speed.

Carbon filters are the only known media proven to effectivelly remove the effects of tobacco smoke long after active smoking ceased. This Allerair DXS smoke control air purifier filters airborne particles using a HEPA wrap filter. It features a cylindrical shape for maximizing the air flow, casters for easy maneuverability and a powerful filtration system which uses 27 lbs of activated carbon to adsorb smoke, chemicals, gases and odors from the air you breathe.

Activated Carbon and HEPA Air Purifiers

HEPA Filtration in Air Purifiers
HEPA is an acronym for "high efficiency particulate air". This type of air filter can remove at least 99.97% of all airborne particles 0.3 microns in size (the most difficult to filter). Particles that are larger or smaller are generally filtered with even greater efficiency in most air purifiers.

Ultraviolet light is a proven technology used for sterilizing both air and water.
